It’s my second to last column before turning to other pursuits. Have fun!

Earlier in the week I was lucky enough to meet Minjee Lee and play with her at her golf clinic in Manilla. At 18 I was next to Minjee and a total amateur as her name was being introduced. We had a tremendous time together, we discussed everything from golf to other topics and it was amazing to talk to a pro at such a young age.

Not long after that our paths would cross again at another tournament. We were close friends for many years, remaining in contact till the very end. That evening, whilst I was waiting for the flight back to Thailand, Minjee posted a picture on Facebook with a picture of an airplane and a message saying “It looks like ‘secretariat port’ close to King’s Cup”. The one and only time I met Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya Sirivadhana Barnavadi was at the King’s Cup in Bangkok.

Many travel and world class sport venues are on the same island and as it got nearer I began to think the odds were slim that we would ever meet again. At this stage I do not know who or how much the meeting was for but I feel we will always have our everlasting bond, a bond based on mutual respect and love.
