Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards has left things a little vague about the extent of the home invasion and burglary that took place at her home last weekend. The Daily Mail reports that she has left the door to her home wide open, as she was not at home during the incident. In a statement to the press, Kyle said, “There were some incidents that occurred over the weekend that have put me and my family in a vulnerable position.
“These events have shaken us to our core and we are taking every precaution necessary to ensure our family’s safety.” Kyle and her husband, Mauricio, were asleep in the house at the time of the invasion. The two police officers who arrived at the house and discovered an “unknown suspect” inside the house were uninjured.

Police have yet to identify a suspect or make any arrests. Although the intruders took off with $10,000 worth of jewelry, Kyle has stated that she has no plans to press charges. She said, “My main concern is to bring justice to these criminals. I don’t believe that there was a crime committed. I do believe that they did take my jewelry. They took my great aunt’s and my dad’s gold and my uncle’s and what he had put in an outdoor safe. But that was nothing but sentimental and very nice- he always saved for his grandchildren.”
The police have stated that the intruders fled in a white truck, which was found abandoned in the Mar Vista community. Police also say that it is likely that the men have connections with the Beverly Hills area. The police are currently examining security footage in hopes of finding the alleged thieves.
Since the break-in, Kyle has been seeing a therapist about coping with post-traumatic stress. Mauricio has supported her, saying that she is “doing okay” and that he was “very proud of her for staying there and not leaving the house”.
Kyle Richards returns to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for its fifth season later this year.
